Idea to shake things up a bit

So..... I was talking with Rei earlier, and I really want to start this plot! but, I may need a bit of help =] not horribly, but I thought I'd give people the chance to get a bit more involved. Dante is my character in Torqueo, but he is a part of a huge plot that I have going, and I would like to bring that here. He is heir to the Caligae family (disowned, however, due to his running away) and his home pack is kinda, well.... trying to conquer the world, I guess? Atrix, Dante's father, is upholding the family motto of the strong weeding out the weak by destroying every pack in their path, cept those strong enough to join in on the fun, of course =P

I thought it would be fun to bring the crusade here. But there's so many of them, I was wondering if people wanted to play some of them? Or create some?

Atrix isn't coming in. This would be a scouting force, kinda like a first wave in the attack. That doesn't mean they couldn't go for it, though =]. I was planning on playing Melusina and Tarin, who will be a part of it. The rest, though, are up for grabs. I really need a Daes. He is Tarin and Dante's brother, and the new heir, if he succeeds in killing Dante, of course. That was Atrix's challenge. Mel will prolly double cross him, since she wants the position herself, but for now, the two are working together.

The rest of the main characters I had in mind that people can use (should they choose!) I'll list below =]
- Drasden: He is pure evil...... he'd be the leader of the group attacking should someone choose him. If not, I would be willing to play him, but I don't think I'd do him justice... he's seriously twisted, but completely loyal to Atrix. He is second in command of the Caligae.

After him, actually..... I don't have any personalities truly set in stone XD. For the Caligae there are lighter characters and darker characters. The lighter side includes Destin and his sister Adrienne and Gareth and his mate Kaylie. The darker members are Luxor, Lina (Mel's mother), Cirrus and her mate Ferrous, and their son Aerus. I left out a few that would have definitely stayed behind with Atrix.

The Rachelons could also be used, I guess. They are allies of the Caligae pack. They definitely aren't planned out XD so if you wanted to create a character, you could make them either one. That actually might be kinda fun ^^

Any other ideas? =] I plan on bringing Mel, Daes, and Tarin in really soon. The rest would probably follow shortly with Drasden since their mission is less straightforward ^^ and more chaos-bringing.

I may be up to taking Luxor or Ferrous, maybe Cirrus. Not sure yet. Are we going to be making up their character, personalities, etc? That said, I'll wait until other people take up characters. xD

So, you guys should prolly know the pack history of the Caligae and the information, right? =] gonna type that out. There are some ideas that are underdeveloped, as this is a novel wip, but most of it is pretty straightforward. We don't have to exactly follow my idea either ^^ as this is a separate thing!

The History
The Caligaes did not start out the way that they are today. In fact, way back when they were founded, their purpose was solely to protect. When the humans began to spread into the wolves' territory, the packs were forced to move. This would not have been a problem, had they split and gone their seperate ways. But, instead, due to lack of suitable territory, they were forced to live in close proximity. The fights that followed were terrible, many pack members from all sides being killed each time. It came to the point where everyone was tired of the violence, but the pride of the Alphas made it so that they could not back down. It looked as though the seven packs would wipe one another out. Then a wolf named Desmond came with his pack seeking a place to live. He was met with hostility, but quickly recognized the situation. With his pack, all young warriors, the others were in no shape to fight him, their own fighters mostly killed in the senseless violence of before. Instead of taking over the lands, however, Desmond forced the packs to live in peace, side by side. His pack became the guardians of this peace, punishing those who would destroy it and protecting those who kept it. He also defended the weakened packs against outside threats, those who would try and move in on the territory. In return, he was given access to live and hunt alongside each of the packs. It was a good arrangement for all.

When Desmond perished, his son, Veritus had claimed control of the pack. He was every inch his father, true to the original purpose. Peace still reigned through the area, but the conflict that would follow was more internal. There was another wolf within the protectors that wanted power. Yero Caligae, Atrix's grandsire. He did not see why so much energy was spent protecting those weaker. Why should they live in happiness, using up resources that would be better spent on the strong? The laws of the wild were the best, the strong survive, the weak perish. He had a following, a group who were of the same mindset, and when the right moment came, they attempted to kill Veritus, but failed. He did not kill Yero and his band, but exiled them, splitting the pack in two.

The newly formed Caligaes, led by Yero, traveled to a place far away where there was a lot of land for the taking. Whoever stood in their way was destroyed. It was Yero's belief that if one could best them in a fight, they deserved to live. If not, then they would die, and the world would be a stronger place for it. As their pack grew, he raised all of the members in that belief from birth, teaching them that the morals that applied to the family were different than those that applied to the world. They were strong, and it was their duty to cleanse this world of any weakness. Thus the Caligae mindset was born.

Yero had two sons, Shaetis and Banden. The older, Banden, would one day take over the pack. However, as they got older, Shaetis resented this fact. He thought that he could run things better than both his father and brother. He had little love for them, for things like love weren't a part of the Caligae upbringing. He made it look like an accident, though, when he murdered them. One did not turn against family. Now in the lead, Shaetis spread their influence, taking more and more land in his quest to achieve his father's goal.

Then the drought hit, forcing them to move. Half of their number was wiped out, however, and they were extremely weak. In order for them to survive, Shaetis made a deal with the first pack they met. He served as their protector and was given a part of their land. Ironic that they would go back to their roots in such a time. Atrix was the next one to take power, and at that time, the Caligaes were still serving under the Highland pack. Under Atrix's command, they destroyed them, then began to conquer all of the surrounding packs. Those who would not join would perish. Two packs made an alliance, the others were wiped out. Now Atrix is branching out, just like his father did, sending Drasden out to scout and search for any suitable territory, occupied or not. Eventually Atrix wishes to rebuild the empire that his father so long ago had.

Okay, so, as you can see, any characters you play have been raised from birth with this mindset. The family is the only thing that matters, and strength is the most important thing. Any weak should be killed ^^. Even the nicer ones would feel this way, lol. They might be sweet around the family, but once introduced into a fight, they would kill without hesitation.

Once people pick characters, I'll PM you everything I have about that character ^^ which prolly won't be much, but may help!
