FORMALITIES
Full Name: Avendesora Mahdi Al Ellisande.
Pronounced: Ah-vehn-deh-SO-rah, MAH-dee, alhehl-lih-SAHN-dah.
Name Meaning: The Tree of Life, Seeker, For the Rose of the Sun.
Aliases: She now simply introduces herself as Avendesora Mahdi, with the preference that others use just Avendesora. Al Ellisande was her royal family name, one she now chooses to honor with her silence. In the lands of her birth, she was referred to as the Princess of the Sands and Seeker. Later, she acquired the title of Queen when she claimed the throne of Novus Vita, a territory within the borders of Fantasy. Other nicknames she has collected over the years are Sora, Miss Avendesora, and Miss Dessie.
Gender: Female.
Age: Seven years have passed since her birth.
Breed: The Wasteland wolves chose to maintain an air of mystery about their breed and simply do not speak of it. Despite the fact that the Wasteland consists of desert sands, sparse vegetation, and bare mountain ranges, the wolves maintain thick coats that one would expect on grey or arctic wolves. With each new war, they assimilate the wolves they have defeated to create new blood out of a vast gene-pool.
Alignment: She still likes to call herself pure, but purity, like all things, is simply a matter of opinion.
THE BODY
Height: 37 inches at the shoulder, roughly 40 at the top of her skull with her ears adding another couple of inches.
Length: 66 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail.
Weight: 130 pounds.
Pelt: Her coat is lush, silken, and slightly longer than most wolves which sometimes gives her a shaggy appearance, especially during the summer months when most others have lost their luscious coats while her own remains thick, despite molting. It is a shimmering alabaster that falls along her form in soft, ivory waves. Her undercoat is gray, like most wolves, and it often gives her fur a blue tinge.
Spheres: Both eyes are a light, bright cerulean blue that darken into a deep sapphire during the winter months. The iris of her right eye has small flecks of silver near the pupil, a small element which goes largely unnoticed. Her eyes are clear and penetrating, and while they are kind, they are also guarded and wary.
Scars/Markings: Countless scars litter her form that she has received in spars, battles, and wars alike. Despite the fact that they are numerous, few are noticeable from beneath her thick coat. The majority of her scars are located over the front of her forelegs, shoulders, some small ones on the bridge of her muzzle, and along her spine. There are two scars worth mentioning and they would be the ones upon her right shoulder blade and the one on her stomach. The one upon her shoulder is an old wound given to her by her eldest brother, Djevik, and its shape is jagged; an unclean cut when it was made. On her stomach is a scar that runs from beneath her left ribs across and down to where the bone of her pelvis protrudes on her right side. It was a wound inflicted upon her in one man's attempt at trying to force himself upon her; while she was nearly disemboweled, she tore out his throat. The fur over these old wounds has come in thinner and a shade darker than her ivory.
Form: Avendesora has the specialized body of a born fighter and hunter. She has lost the bulky muscle of her younger years. Now, this former queen is all fluid grace and deadly intent wrapped in a lithe body of sinew. Long, almost delicate-looking limbs are proportionally built to her body for traveling through rough terrain such as deep snow, cliffy edges, and sand. Her paws are large with the black, calloused pads. She has a deep, narrow chest that hosts overly large lungs that allow her to breathe more efficiently and allow her to exert huge amounts of stamina. She has a large head supported by a powerful neck covered in heavy fur to protect her throat and spine. Her coat is lush, silken, and slightly longer than most wolves which sometimes gives her a shaggy appearance, especially during the summer months when most others have lost their luscious coats while her own remains thick, despite molting. Avendesora is armed with an impressive array of large canines and carnassial teeth that give her an incredibly strong biteforce. To match, she has continued her childhood practice of sharpening her claws to need-like points.
THE MIND
General Temperament: She was always the weakest, emotionally, of her entire family. While most wolves from her birthplace maintained cool temperaments and emotionless facades, she was the most prone to outbursts in her youth. As she has aged, her temperamental tendencies have melted away into the calm benevolence she exudes. She is stern, quiet, and deep-thinking. She always analyzes a situation fully before acting or commenting. She is more likely to discipline with words than with action now, though she wouldn't hesitate to attack if she felt threatened, and is capable of some form of forgiveness, though she never forgets a grievance and has the tendency to hold grudges. When she fights, she is vicious, but never unnecessarily cruel.
Positive Traits: Her utter self-confidence, courage, and willingness to take initiative has always given others the feeling that she is a dependable and trustworthy individual. She was a steadfast, strong leader who was always straightforward when dealing with others, choosing to be honest, almost brutally so, instead of entertaining people's delusions. She can sometimes be seen as insensitive and cold due to her habit of being straightforward and speaking plainly instead of coating her words with niceties. She has gone through life being hardworking, disciplined, and methodical in everything she does. She always plays her part and does her duties without complaint. Being logical, pragmatic, goes hand-in-hand with her tendency to look at life with a realistic eye. She tries to remain calm in difficult situations and is good at using emotional self-control. She is generally reserved and cautious yet fairly passionate in her own way, always committed to friends and partners. She is infallibly loyal to those who have earned it.
Negative Traits: Avendesora's pride has always been the one vice that she has been unable to shake. It's an innate boldness that has gotten her into trouble all her life. She's very obstinate and opinionated. Being uncompromising when she sets her mind on something, she doesn't let go and never backs down. Often to get her point across, she is forceful with others when she believes they are in the wrong. The former queen has possessive and controlling tendencies, a trait born from her former matriarchal duties and one she is unable to shake. She has a rather negative and pessimistic view of the world and the people who inhabit it. She is an introvert and, with her tendency to focus on her own goals, has trouble maintaining strong social bonds with others. Avendesora has always been a vindictive individual and holds deep grudges against those she feels have offended her in some way. She wouldn't think twice about the use of revenge if the insult is great. There is a deep, melancholic sadness that emanates from the woman. She is a sorrowful soul unwilling to part from her grief.
Fears: Avendesora is terrified of commitment. She pushes away those who would try to grow close to her, believing that she will eventually do something to make them turn against her, that they will either abandon or disappoint her. She's afraid that she will not be there for those she comes to care about when they need her most, like she wasn't there to save her half-sister, Etain, when she was slain by her own son, Arthion. She has filled herself with this gnawing self-doubt, wondering if she will ever be good enough, strong enough, pure enough; wondering if all her past decisions were the wrong ones. She wonders if the path she was set on by her family was ever the right one.
Orientation: Heterosexual.
Beliefs: The Wastelands that Avendesora originated from has no God, no afterlife, and no faith in anything more than what you can see, feel, taste, and smell. She was raised in a land where the only thing you can place your confidence in is the strength of yourself and the wolves that stand beside you; what you can overcome and what you can kill. She believes that all life ever is, and has ever been, is a matter of choice. It is waking up in the morning and either saying Yes, I will or Maybe I might or No, I wont. While she holds no interest in changing her belief-system, she still finds herself curious about the different religious views of others and enjoys learning about them when she can.
THE BLOOD
Sire: Aldieb Al Ellisande [Deceased].
Dame: Carai Al Ellisande.
Siblings:
First litter: Djevik K'Shar Al Ellisande [eldest brother, heir to the Wasteland throne].
Second litter: Tsoravan'm'hael Al Ellisande [elder brother, lead healer in the Wastelands].
Third litter: Reigousni Al Ellisande [elder brother, exiled prince of the Wastelands].
*Fourth litter: Etain [half-sister born to another woman in the same year, deceased queen of Novus Vita].
Fifth Litter: Soe’feia Bekkar Al Ellisande [younger sister, runaway princess of the Wastelands].
Love Interest: She once believed her childhood friend, a brute by the name of K'Jour, would be her mate when she came of age, but her father and brother, Djevik, disapproved and thought K'Jour unworthy, and sent him on scouting mission which he never returned from. Later, after she took on her role as Queen in Novus Vita, she met a brute named Ringwe who, after much persuasion on his part, she eventually fell in love with. She was pregnant when he first disappeared during a dark time when the pack had been scattered after Etain's murder. Avendesora thought he was dead, and mourned the loss of her mate, but shortly after she gave birth Ringwe returned. Furious, Avendesora only allowed his presence after he vowed to never leave again. Not even a month had passed before he abandoned her once more. Avendesora has sworn to kill him if she should ever see him again. Currently, there is no wolf who has caught her eye and she doubts she will ever fall in love again.
Offspring: She has given birth only once, to a litter of four, sired by her former mate Ringwe. Zakai Abdel Al Ellisande [son, former prince of Novus Vita], Zaccheo Macarius Al Ellisande [son, deceased former prince of Novus Vita], and two other children, a girl and a boy, that were born dead and remain unnamed. The birth was difficult, and though Zaccheo survived his first few months, he was always sickly and eventually succumbed to death during his first winter after a long struggle with pneumonia. After his brother's death and Fantasy's destruction, Zakai chose to leave his mother and travel alone. Avendesora does not know where he is, though he has promised to find her one day in the future. Over the years, she has also taken two children under her wing as wards. Foxglove, a young, female coywolf, and Calanon Voronwe, the son of her nephew Suidan Manwe. She has seen neither in years now, Calanon left with his father, and she assumes Foxglove left of her own volition, and the former queen hopes both are alive and well. Avendesora is a mother, but she has never deceived herself into thinking she is a good one.
Other: Suidan Voronwe [nephew, son of Etain, former prince of Novus Vita], Arthion Voronwe [nephew, son of Etain, banished prince of Novus Vita], and Cloelia Etain Ishmay [niece, daughter of Etain, former princess of Novus Vita]. Vice Voronwe [son of Arthion Voronwe] and Veldfire Voronwe [daughter of Arthion Voronwe]. Amrita Jyoti Al Ellisande [niece, daughter of Djevik, former heiress to Novus Vita].
